What to look for when choosing a home inspection company!
It is a good idea to call at least 3 companies.
- Choose an experienced inspector that has been in business for more than 5 years. No matter what job you hire a person to do, experience counts.
- Pick a home inspection company that provides "warranty".
- Do not make your decision based on the lowest price. The lowest price inspection is often the
most expensive one in the long run (remember, you get what you pay for).
Home inspection:
Includes an inspection of all visual major components of the home in reference to a real estate transaction - Includes Termite & Radon Test.
Condo Inspection:
Includes an inspection of all visual major components of the condo in reference to a purchase or rental agreement.
Radon Testing:
Activated charcoal canister method (exposure time 2-7 days) Separate report issued.

Additional NJ Home Inspection Services
Oil Tank Searches & Testing Unless you have credible documentation that there is no abandoned buried oil tank on the property, we recommend that a tank search be done to protect you. If there is an active buried oil tank, then it should be tested for integrity and condition. These are services that are not performed by Meyers Home Inspections, however we can arrange to have qualified firms do this work for you.
Lead Paint Survey A comprehensive home survey for the presence and condition of lead based paint may be advisable in older homes. The lead paint survey is not performed by Meyers Home Inspections, however we can arrange to have qualified firms do this work for you.
Engineering Evaluations An inspection of the foundation and structural supports is a normal part of the home inspection service. You need to understand that licensed home inspectors are not engineers, however we can arrange to have qualified firms do this work for you if necessary.
